![]() I am at level 17, currently in Nameless Isle. Also, you can always reset your skill points on the ship. You can have your default skill at level 3 and just wear a ring or a pair of gloves with thievery+ and you can buff up that way. So far, I can open any doors or chests with level 4. Is there any point to higher levels of thievery later in the game? Any chests that you can't break open, or doors that must be picked to not miss out on good content?Ĭivil skills are tough to come by, and given that rogue performance is defined much more by scoundrel level, weapon proficiency, and combat skills in active memory slots I'm loath to put more than a token point in for pickpocketing the occasional skill I can't afford. I want Thiefing for lockpicking doors (chests I just pick up & save on the Lady) and Persuasion for obvious reasons but Lucky Charm is so helpful and even with All Skilled Up you so rarely get Civil abilities at levelup. I'm also on playthrough #2 but this time I'm going Lone Wolf with the two characters I didn't include in playthrough #1 (Irfan & Beast) and man, does Lone Wolf change things up! The main deficiency I'm finding with my party (admittedly only level 8) is the lack of Civil abilities - with only two characters and no extra points from Lone Wolf it's a real balancing act. Yeah, I played around with Glass Cannon and to be honest, it's not worth it given the amount of CC that enemies use, especially as you progress. The start screen did warn that in tactician difficulty your enemies would use nasty tricks that you don't see in classic. Even worse when they charm her and she turns her nasty damage dealing & cc abilities on the rest of my party. Glass Cannon is nice to have, but enemies automatically target my glass cannon rogue with cc abilities, which takes my highest damage dealer out of the entire fight. I think I might head back into Fort Joy and massacre everyone I don't like as I need the xp. Getting my ass handed to me in playthrough two. I met the princess, she got abducted, then I finished the game without ever resolving it. Red Prince's.I don't think I ever did finish that one. I heard that you don't necessarily get the full reward when playing her as main though.not sure how accurate that is. The "reward" for completing that quest was one of the best quest rewards I've ever seen in any game ever. She was eventually burn to death at the end. He would summon a fire slug to land even more damage. When Aternal was getting close, I would teleport her near Prince and he would use fire to deal massive damage to her. I used charm arrows to charm the wolves few times. I summon my conjurer as a Source infusion one. Because I split up my party this way, Aternal and her wolfs was going back and fore fighting us. The other 3 were at the other end of the area. I thought I tried to fight this battle and to see how things would turn out. Oops.when the fight started, instead of attacking Fane, she went after my 3 other characters. Fane would use sneaking to get back to the main battle. Then, I would use Loshe teleporting ability to teleport Aternal by the stairs and 3 of my characters would pound her into submission. Originally, I wanted to put my party members all the way to the stairs and using Fane to trigger the fight. ![]() I came back to fight the Aternal at level 15. Too bad you can't really make it your home or your base. I killed him and all the servants in his villa are dead now. After giving Ryker the tablet, he wanted to kill me. Apparently, if you make deals with evil source holder, they will turn their backs on you. I took the tablet and didn't open the tomb. I tried to battle her when I was at level 13. The Aternal battle was interesting and didn't expect to defeat her.
